Franklin Delano Roosevelt s Life And Education - 1592 Words
Franklin Delano Roosevelt was born January 30, 1882 in Hyde Park, New York as an only child to a rich couple. ââ¬Å"Franklinââ¬â¢s family had been prominent for several generations, having made their fortune in real estate and trade. Roosevelt was the only child of James Roosevelt and Sara Ann Delano Roosevelt. The family lived at Springwood, their estate in the Hudson River Valley in New York State.â⬠(Biography.com Editors, pg.1).As previously inquired, the fact that Roosevelt had been born to a rich family severely influenced his life and education. While growing up, Franklin Roosevelt was surrounded by privilege and a sense of self-importance and his being raised this way is much different than the people whom heââ¬â¢d be working with in his lifetime.
